MXenergy Taps Ganter to Head Atlanta Sales Force

STAMFORD, Conn., - Sept. 12, 2007 – MXenergy has named James Ganter as its sales director for commercial sales in the Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) market, company officials announced today.  

Ganter previously had been based in MXenergy’s Stamford headquarters and now will be based in Atlanta. He will report to MXenergy Vice President Sales & Marketing Gina Goldberg and will manage a team of MXenergy commercial sales representatives as well as the company’s external vendors in both the residential and commercial sales arenas for door-to-door sales.

"As MXenergy continues its growth, we are delighted that James will oversee our Georgia sales force," Goldberg said. "We know he has the experience to help maximize our sales team’s performance in the residential and commercial sectors, especially in such an important market."

An award-winning sales professional with experience in the retail energy sector, Ganter came to  MXenergy in 2006 from Gas South, where he served as its director of sales. During his tenure at Gas South, his accomplishments included building a new sales team following the acquisition of Southern Company's natural gas unit in 2006 and achieving a 100-percent increase in sales production for the company’s contract sales team. 

Prior to joining Gas South, Ganter was sales manager for Southern Gas Company’s mass market segment from 2004 to 2006 and manager of call center operations from 2002 to 2004. He also held positions with The NEWPOWER Company, Exelon and RHM Teleservices.

Ganter has been recognized by Telemarketing Magazine, winning its Gold Cup for Telemarketing Sales Excellence (business to customer), and Silver Cup for Telemarketing Sales Excellence. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, and resides in Atlanta with his wife and three children.
