MXENERGY HELPS GEORGIA COMPANY GO CARBON NEUTRAL THROUGH EARTH FRIENDLY PARTNERSHIP

Natural Gas Supplier Enables SweetWater Brewing Company to Offset
CO2 Emissions from Natural Gas Usage

Stamford, Conn., March 19, 2007 – MxEnergy Inc. (MXenergy) announced today that Atlanta-based SweetWater Brewing Company has become the company’s first commercial customer to join its Earth Friendly Partnership, a program that enables homeowners and businesses to offset CO2 emissions from natural gas usage.

Under the partnership, MXenergy will ensure the offsetting the microbrewery’s CO2 emissions from operations.  SweetWater will pay an additional one penny per therm of natural gas used in its facility.

“If all natural gas marketers and utilities in the United States followed our example, we could offset up to 46 percent of U.S. CO2 emissions,” said MXenergy President and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Mayer. “We hope that SweetWater is setting an example that many other Georgia businesses – and residents – will follow.  We applaud what Freddy Bensch and his company are doing.”

The MXenergy Earth Friendly Partnership funds the planting of trees that naturally absorb harmful CO2 emissions and help reduce effects of global warming.  The program is available to all commercial and residential customers of MXenergy in Georgia.

According to company estimates, if all MXenergy customers went "carbon neutral," the environmental impact would be equivalent to removing 700,000 cars from the roads each year.
