MXenergy Expands Presence in Canadian Market
British Columbia Utilities Commission Grants Gas Marketer License to MXenergy

STAMFORD, Conn., - January 21, 2006 – MxEnergy (Canada) Ltd., a subsidiary of MxEnergy Inc. (“MXenergy”) announced today that it has been licensed by the British Columbia Utilities Commission to operate as a natural gas marketer.  Initially, MXenergy will market in the Terasen Gas delivery area.

MXenergy plans to begin marketing a variety of competitive offerings, both fixed and variable, to small commercial customers immediately.

MXenergy officials said they expect to offer residential service to the Teresen Gas delivery area in May.  The company’s entry to the Teresen Gas area marks MXenergy’s 30th utility region.
