Q: What does MXenergy do?
A: MXenergy supplies natural gas and electricity to residential and commercial customers in restructured energy markets.
Q: How do I switch to MXenergy?
A: Switching is simple. You can sign up right now on our web site. Just click the red "Enroll Now" button to the left. It only takes a few minutes—just have your current electricity bill ready.
Q: When will my switch occur?
A: Your electric service from MXenergy will not take effect until your next scheduled meter read, which could take up to two billing cycles. If you need an earlier meter read, please call our call center. There may be an additional fee for priority turn on service.
Q: Will my service be interrupted?
A: There will be no interruption in your electricity service when you switch to MXenergy. In the event of a power outage, your service will still be restored as it always has been.
Q: How am I billed?
A: You will receive a monthly bill directly from MXenergy that covers all power, utility service, and any delivery charges. You simply make one payment to MXenergy for electricity.
Q: Does MXenergy offer online payment options?
A: Yes, MXenergy offers the convenience and security of online bill payment. You can pay your electricity bill 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the convenience of your home or workplace.
Q: What if I have a power outage?
A: In the event of a power outage or emergency, please contact your local area wires company.
