Electricity
Electricity is the flow of electrical power or charge and is the most widely used form of energy. It comes from renewable or non-renewable energy, making it a secondary source of energy. Electricity is changed into other forms of energy, such as light and heat which is when it becomes most useful. What would a day without electricity be like? You wouldn't be able to watch TV, cook dinner, play on the computer or stay warm in the winter!
Did you know that electricity travels 186,000 miles per second? If you traveled that fast, you could go around the world 8 times in the same amount of time it takes to turn on a light switch!
Where does America's electricity come from?
